| April 3, 2012 - Update Fairpoint submitted a pre-application letter to receive a ConnectME grant on behalf of the Town of Sweden on Monday April 2nd. They will decide within a few days whether or not they will actually proceed with the application process. As soon as we know for sure, we will post the updated information on this website. It will be very costly to bring broadband to Sweden and there is no guarantee that even if they actually pursue the grant that they will receive it, as there is a lot of competition for the grant money. We cannot stress enough how important your letters of support will be if we hope to succeed! March 31, 2012 Help make high speed internet available to everyone in Sweden In a letter addressed to the ConnectME Authority in Augusta, please explain in your own words why you would like to see high speed internet made available in Sweden. Although the letters must be addressed to the Connect ME Authority, they must be compiled and sent as a group to Fairpoint.
